Boen Wellness founder Dr. Christe Boen Mirikitani has made her business the family business, caring for her patients in a relaxed, home-like office that instantly puts you at ease. She and her husband, author and life coach Jason Mirikitani, work closely together to offer patients a full range of services that help heal body, mind and spirit.

 

Dr. Boen became interested in chiropractic when she was 14 years old.  When a badly sprained ankle looked to sideline her fast-pitch softball season and upcoming Nationals, her mother took her to their family chiropractor.  Dr. Ralph Filson adjusted her ankle and showed her how to properly rehab it.  She was told by the ER doctor that it would take 4-6 weeks to heal but because of chiropractic care she pitched on it that same week.  

 

Impressed with the care given and results achieved, Dr. Boen knew she had found a path that could enable her to help others as she was helped.  She went on to continue her softball career at the University of Missouri-Columbia on a full-ride scholarship as a pitcher from 1992-95.  She helped pitch her team to the Women's College World Series her junior year finishing 7th in the country for Division 1 schools.  

 

While at Mizzou she studied Pre-Med pursuing the classes required to start chiropractic school upon graduation.  Dr. Boen graduated from Logan College in April of 1999 and has been practicing sports and family chiropractic and acupuncture in West County for over 19 years.  

 

In 2006 she married her husband Jason Mirikitani.  The couple have four children; Abigail, Josiah, Toby and Benji.
